Welcome to all things audiobook! I am Marie Caron, a narrator from Canada. While I have always enjoyed listening to audiobooks, I was, for a long time, curious about what it would be like to narrate one.
As a parent, I loved reading out loud with my children. We would often go way past the official bedtime, as we lost ourselves to the magic of another world. Books are a beautiful gateway into an author’s imagination. We can experience adventures, explore mysteries or learn about the world, without ever leaving home – isn’t that handy now?
When I thought about narrating audiobooks, I thought it was going to be like reading to my kids or even reading for myself. Well, it is and it isn’t! I would like to share my journey with you. It has been fun and frustrating – puzzling and pleasing.
I also want to share with you my love of audiobooks. While I have some of my own audiobooks which you may wish to enjoy, this is a place where I will tell you about some of my favourite audiobooks and what made them stand out for me.
